Marquita R. Thatcher, Esq.
Marquita Thatcher began investing from her very first paycheck after college graduation. A personal finance enthusiast, she joined the FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) community in 2011 and retired from traditional “work for pay” employment seven years later.
For her next phase of life, Marquita desired to make a tangible difference in the lives of others. Eighteen months after retiring, she founded Taylor Thatcher Law, LLC, a Family Law practice dedicated to representing clients with limited financial resources. Taylor Thatcher Law provides low bono (significantly reduced-fee) and pro bono (free) Family Law services to those who qualify.
Marquita is a Volunteer Attorney at Community Legal Aid where she holds Divorce Clinics and Father’s Rights Clinics for individuals interested in representing themselves in legal proceedings. In her spare time she teaches others how to achieve financial independence.
Marquita attended the University of Cincinnati where she obtained a B.A in Personnel & Industrial Relations and an M.A. in Labor & Employment Relations. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. She has previously practiced Labor & Employment Law.
